AND...... We're back. I did not realize the dreaded valley girl disease of the 1980's has spread so far north. People think swine flue is bad, but swine flu has no where near the staying power. Screw the budget and all those lesser important things Arnold and get that valley girl disease under control before it destroys us all.

Ole-What's-'er-Name and I had the exact same conversation. WHAT is she qualified to do that anybody would pay her for? I mean, except for the obvious. And if she'd been doing that instead of make a complete fool of herself in front of the city council meeting, perhaps she'd have more respect. AND she couldn't have talked at the same time, so, ya know, it's a win-win.

I'd like to point out my original point of this thread: is there any doubt at all who she supported for President in the last election? Is there any doubt which political party she identifies with?

Which is what happens when governments short-circuit markets, and set prices/wages by fiat.

Nader, quite possibly. Assuming he ran. He must've, though, I can't imagine a Presidential election without him. :P

The better question is when she votes does she know who/what she is voting for, or does she have conversations like this to herself, gets confused and just walks away. I think we should pool our money and get her an Ipod so she can hear, "breath in....breath out......" over and over again until the batteries die. Then the world would be a safer place. I shudder to think of her behind the wheel and "driving" down the road.

While watching the video I half expected a, "For the love of God!' to be exclaimed off camera. Then Bluesman would race up to her and give her $20.00 so she could buy a clue. She would be happy with her new board game and we all would be happier because the video would have been shorter.

Seriously, she and her kind are one of the reasons I avoid California at all costs.

Well, looking back at oyur history the private sector wasn't such a hot place to work untill we got those changes. I didn't get a paycut this week because some poor slob. Got a small raise.

That is not how they look at it. What they see is the pay difference between them and the min wage earner just got smaller.
