Penske might have a shot at making a go of this. Saturn should have made money for GM, not sure why it didn't.
it just acquired the cache it needed to get a fair chance from consumers.

I had heard about this Penske Saturn deal. I thought he was buying the manufacturing capacity, I found out that he was just buying the name.

Now he can sell the name to a manufacturer that he trusts, or at the very least sell the parts supply (tm) business to whomever he likes. As an owner of a Saturn (granted it is a 2000, I'd buy that car again if it were offered for sale...) Anyhow, my dear sis bought a Saturn model year 2006 or something (garbage and she paid too much for it...)

Who produced those fantastic Eagles from years gone by? I want to say Chrysler (not GM) but I refuse to do the research. Eagles were bad arse. I'd buy one today, 4wd? On all models? Who is it that used to do that Subaru?

I'd put money on Penske doing something pretty good with Saturn. Even in these awful economic times...
