Thank you to those of you that have responded to my question. I had no "hidden agenda"--it truly was an honest question.

I also voted for McCain but I hope that Obama will follow thru with his promises...we shall see! God be with us!!!!!
    I hope NOT!

We could not afford his promises prior to the SubPrime debacle, we certainly can't afford them now. Frankly he and his kind of thinking is what gave us the present disaster.

    Go figure.

THANK YOU GOD Palin is no longer threatening the world as a VP candidate, I can now discard my plans of leaving this planet if she hit office. Instead I can sit back with a scotch and watch Obama run the show. Good luck and make the best of it!

I think McCain would've made it with a better choice of VP.

As a stander-by, I don't think Obama will bring any substantive change in the US foreign policy, while he may make some success in solving the economic crisis.
In my opinion, the main reason of Obama's victory is that the Republicans have ruled this country for 8 years, and it's time for the Democratics. If Maccain were Democratics, maybe he has more chance to win.

If he can't live up to your expectations, will you still blame Bush?

Of course. I expect we'll keep hearing that for years to come.

I, on the other hand, am actually looking forward to blaming Obama for everything I can think of, with no regard for fact and fiction, or any inkling of intellectual honestly.

In fact, I think I'll start by blaming him for nearly 1000 point two day plunge the DOW took, as I can find no significant news that can explain it other than Obama having been elected.

I don't expect much from Obama, but it's for sure gonna take A LOT more than 4 years to clean the mess Dubbya will leave behind him in January.

You mean you will not blame him for the fact that the sun set a bit earlier in the northern hemisphere on Nov 5th, as compared to Nov 4th???

The healing has already begun. World opinion of the USA has improved. Global warming has slowed. Oil price is down. Security in Iraq improved. Blacks are happy. Arabs are happy. Africans are happy. Euros are happy.

I think he should resign while the world still has a favorable opinion of him. You know, go out on top.
