    Poll: McCain-Palin vs. Obama-Biden

With the completion of their respective parties national conventions and the select of Joe Biden of Delaware as Obama's running mate, and Alaska governor Sarah Palin as McCain's, who do you intend to vote for in the November 4th election?

What do you think of Obama and McCain's respective VP picks, and what strengths and weaknesses do you think each of them bring?

Will the Palin pick solidify support among the conservative base of the Republican Party, and ensure a turnout sufficient to help McCain capture the White House in November? Will her selection usher in a new era of leaders in the Republican Party in the future? Will she help McCain garner women voters in November, or will they continue to favor the Democrats and Barack Obama? If you think McCain could have selected a better running mate than Sarah Palin, who do you think it was?

Will Obama's selection of Joe Biden help balance Obama's relative inexperience in matters of foreign policy? How do you think Biden's accomplishments and experience in the United States Senate compares to that of John McCain's? Did Obama commit a strategic mistake in not selecting Senator Hillary Clinton of New York, the runner-up in the Democratic primaries, as his running mate? Was Biden the best man for the job, or could have Obama selected a better running mate?

If you're not an American citizen, please refrain from casting a vote in this poll. Any such votes will be purged. Please feel free to voice your opinion though.

Well, I'm not allowed to vote, but I will be getting alot of education by my teacher about the candidates and the election. Once I know more about them I will explain who I pick for and why I do (without voting in the poll).

As it stands, probably McCain/Palin. I'm not totally sold on McCain yet, quite honestly, but I'm pretty sure Obama and Biden are anywhere near being able to convince me that they have the capability to run this nation.

I agree with McCain/Palin on a lot more things then I do with Obama/Biden so he gets my vote. Not that it will matter since I currently live in Oregon.

So what issues do you actually agree with Obama on?

I agree that we need to research alternate energy more, Equal pay, and legalizing industrial hemp, just off the top of my head.

Sounds like Obama could become quite unpopular with the corporations, especially the Petrochemical industry.

Makes McCain look like the ideal candidate, wants war, keep everything like Bush has so far with a few minor exceptions and will aid the petrochemical industry by opening more drilling fields.

Don't get me wrong I also support drilling but in conjunction with researching alternate energy, Which is McCains position.

Have you read the radical extremist positions of Dominionism (Christian Reconstruction)? Do you agree with Palin's view that the Holocaust was God's punishment for rejecting the divinity of Jesus Christ. Do you favor burning the constitution and rewriting it based on Mosaic Law. Do you agree that homosexuality and blasphemy should be punishable by death? Do you wish public schools to teach the Old Testament Mythology along side of real science? Do you think the Earth is flat, immovable on four giant pillars, the center of the universe, a geocentric solar system, magical creation of all animals that ever lived 6000 years ago, and an immovable unchanging Earth in which continents do not move. Children are going to be subjected to this rubbish along side of evidence based Astronomy, Spherical Earth that is third in a solar system, drifting continents carried on tectonic plates propelled by sub-crustal magma currents, and human thought comes from an immaterial soul instead of the brain's billions of neurons, axons, trillions of synapses, and 40 some neurochemical transmitters. Do you want children to be taught the more complex truth about Evolution of life compared to the simple tale of God conjuring Earth and humans with magical conjuring?

Her beliefs are not dangerous. But her belief that this rubbish should be imposed on our children. It would distract from education. I would approve if children of science literate and rational people take legitimate science in science class. Parents who are Flat Earth Fundamentalists should have a right to elect a Bible class in the school open to those whose parents oppose science.

America finished 25th in math and science testing of 12 grade students in the top 25 industrialized nations. Does that not make you despair of America's future?

It was government meddling that ruined the school system in the USA in the first place, if Palin sticks her ****** in you're going to be 25th among developing nations.

I know of this statistic, and no, I'm not worried. I know plenty of bright kids in school. IMO, that average is just being brought down by the idiots who are being forced to stay in school. (Sorry, I'm in no ways supportive of the "No child left behind act". I'm a student myself, and it definitely hindered my school experience by implementing pointless new curriculum for the ignorant and indifferent.)

Where are you getting your information? I have never heard her say she wants to kill gays or that the earth is flat or most of what you saying. Do you actually believe this stuff or are you just trolling?

I guess I'll be one of those Oregonians canceling out your vote, Dasacant since I'm voting Obama/Biden. What I'm curious about is your New Zealand flag?
