I'll just reverse the observation about Russell Crowe's Maximus character a buddy of mine gave when the movie came out. He said "Guys want to be him, gals want to be under him." In this case, gals want to be her, guys want to be on top of her.

Sarah Palin is no typical Republican (i.e. corporate prostitute, corrupt, lying, psychopath.) She is something far worse and dangerous. She is our greatest enemy. She holds beliefs that make her Dominionist Organization a greater danger to American freedom than Al Qaeda killing a few thousand of us. Dominionists are a far greater threat to traditional American freedom than Russian troops and tanks in the Republic of Georgia.

Palin is a follower of the Political Philosophy known as Theonomy. It is only partially religion based. It is foremost a Totalitarian Christian Reconstructionist whose stated agenda is the end of the Jeffersonian Constitutional Republic. Palin is the most dangerous person to run for US executive office in US History.

Here is a sample from their own website.

The New Testament teaches us that--unless exceptions are revealed elsewhere--every Old Testament commandment is binding, even as the standard of justice for all magistrates (Rom. 13:1-4), including every recompense stipulated for civil offenses in the law of Moses (Heb 2:2). From the New Testament alone we learn that we must take as our operating presumption that any Old Testament penal requirement is binding today on all civil magistrates. The presumption can surely be modified by definite, revealed teaching in the Scripture, but in the absence of such qualifications or changes, any Old Testament penal sanction we have in mind would be morally obligatory for civil rulers.

Greg Bahnsen, No Other Standard (Tyler, TX: Institute for Christian Economics, 1991), p. 68.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The principle of interpretation which is supposed to govern Christian orthodoxy is that Christ came to establish, confirm, and declare the Old Testament law (Matt. 5:17-18). Only if we find an explicit abandonment of an Old Testament law in the New Testament, because of the historic fulfillment of the Old Testament shadow, can we legitimately abandon a detail of the Mosaic law.

The proper exegetical principle is this: Mosaic law is still to be inforced, by the church or the State or both, unless there is a specific injunction to the contrary in the New Testament.

Gary North, The Sinai Strategy: Economics and the Ten Commandments (Tyler, TX: Institute for Christian Economics, 1986), pp. 242, 255.

Sarah Palin belongs to an Evangelical Fundamentalist church on the extreme lunatic fringe of both religion and politics. I consider it to be false Christianity in its beliefs, and Fascist in its politics. She has worked for censorship of books at schools and libraries. She wants Biblical Genesis taught along side the Sciences of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Geology, Plate Tectonics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Evolution, and Geography.

Our children will have to learn real science along side of Palin's Mythology. There will have to be Flat Earth Geography Texts, Geocentric Astronomy Texts, Magical Creation Biology texts, and Geology Texts in which 4.499,994,000 years are erased from Earth History, and moving tectonic plates are a humanist plot.

Her civics class would be required to teach that only Good Christians (i.e. her kind of Reconstruction Theonomists) should serve in government appointed or elected. She would have homosexuality and blasphemy punished by death. Theonomy as explained by Gary North means that American government should not be of the people, by the people, or for the people. She thinks America and its people (subjects not citizens) should be ruled by God only as represented by Christian Reconstructionists (called Theonomy.)

They support rewriting the Constitution and Bill of Rights so that it fits with the Bible not Enlightenment thinkers Jefferson, Washington, Paine, and Madison. The religious test clause would be deleted from the Constitution to be replaced by a clause requiring Literal Biblical Christian Fundamentalist Belief interpreted of course by R.J. Rushdoony and Gary North.

The movement is sometimes called Dominion, Dominionism, or Christian Reconstructionism. I am not attacking Christians. Most Christians are good people who follow Jesus, not Joshua. They are in as much danger as non-Christians being disenfranchised by an evil Authoritarian Dictatorship ruling with fear. America would become more reminiscent of Nazi Germany than Truman''s, Eisenhower's, Kennedy's, Johnson's, Nixon's, or Clinton's America.

I do not think it would last long. Fortunately Americans are well armed. Gun confiscation by the Reconstructionists would fail to get all of the guns, and the greatest guerrilla revolution in history would follow.

Americans need to know what Sarah Palin believes. I don't care what she believes but I care if her political philosophy is Anti-American. It means the destruction of democracy as we know it.

    Aristarchos
Where did you find that she supports all of this? You provided references for the definition of it, but I did not see a connection to Governor Palin.

In the coming election is not just about McCain (a decent if senile man) and a man who wants to reverse the deterioration of America in the hands of the Corporate Party. The VP's make a difference. If something happens (God forbid) to John McCain (malignant melanoma or something else), he will be replaced by a fanatical Christian Jihadist. Dominionism or Theonomy is just the North American counterpart of the Taliban and Al Qaeda.

You may be voting for your freedom and the freedom of your children and grandchildren if you vote for the Party nominating this frightening extremist. She is dangerous because she is Ralph Reed's "Stealth Candidate." She disarms us with her physical beauty. She is a definite "hottie." She is a great actress who charms us into a hypnotic trance in which we will vote away our freedom. If we are hoping to be spanked by a charming beauty contestant, the spanking may be the removal of the First, Second, Fourth, and Fifth Amendments.

    Why Thenomony is anti-Constitutional

    BIBLE VERSUS THE US CONSTITUTION

    RIGHTS:
    (a) Constitutional - mostly all basic rights are delineated in the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and later Amendments (especially Amendments I, IV, V, VI, IX, X, XIII, XV, XIX).

    (b)Biblical: NONE.

    RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE:

(a)US Constitution: Article VI (last sentence) “but no religious test shall ever be required…” Bill of Rights Amendment 1. “Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment OF RELIGION, “

    (b) Biblical Religious tolerance: NONE. “Thou shalt have no other gods before me” (JHWH/Trinity).

    GOVERNMENT AUTHORITY:

(a)Constitution – from the people, of the people, by the people, and for the people. (Freedom).

(b)Biblical – From God through his appointed rulers/tyrants/kings. (Authoritarianism)

    GENDER EQUALITY BEFORE THE LAW

(a)Constitution – women’s rights delayed but voting and property rights confirmed in the constitution by Bill of Rights Amendment XIX.

(b)Bible – Genesis 3:16 "I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."—1 Tim 2:11 "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.”

    SLAVERY

(a)Constitution – XIII forbids slavery in all forms.

(b)Bible – Slavery is condoned, and the rules of slave keeping are defined.

RIGHT TO PETITION FOR A REDRESS OF GRIEVANCES

(a)Constitution – Amendment I, “right…to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

(b)Bible – God’s authority is arbitrary and absolute. Humans may not redress grievances against God, it is sinful. Hosea 13:16 "Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath REBELLED AGAINST HER GOD; they shall fall by the sword; their infants shall be dashed into pieces, and THEIR WOMEN WITH CHILD SHALL BE RIPPED UP."

    Aristarchos

Disclaimer: I am not attacking the Bible as a venerated ancient manuscript nor am I suggesting restriction of people's rights to believe in the Bible. I am objecting to fanatical extremists seeking to reform our government so that their beliefs can be coerced and forced upon us, sometimes under penalty of death.

I reject your argument Aristarchos. If Sarah Palin is affiliated with the Dominionist Organization it can only mean more cheesy bread for all Americans!

Hmmm, parihaka suspects a logical train of thought going widdershins, or perhaps even deliberate obfuscation.

    So.........

A woman in power (VP) would be the absolute antithesis of the Theonomy? Which would define a woman's role as that contained within the Old (Hebrew) Testament?

Vote for Obama and the democrats if you want a bunch of union prostitute, corrupt, lying, and racist cry babies.

Did I mention the biggest donors of the democrats are unions and LAWYERS?

The very people who hate the lawyers the most support the party of trial lawyers.

Ari, I've got to challenge you on a few points.

First of all, you have grabbed at some random fringe websites and claimed that Palin supports their agenda. Please provide proof that she shares any of these beliefs.

Second, by doing the most cursory search on theonomy I could, I quickly found two websites that claim that theonomists do not, and can not support Palin.

Of course, from a Theonomic perspective nothing has changed. Neither McCain nor Palin are eligible for office: McCain who supports experimentation on murdered children, and Palin, who is not eligible due to her gender.

    The Practical Theonomist

and: Winging It: Theonomists Against Palin

Third, you state that there exists a "Totalitarian Christian Reconstructionist whose stated agenda is the end of the Jeffersonian Constitutional Republic." I can't find such an agenda stated anywhere. Please provide a link.

Fourth, there is the fact that you used the phrase "Jeffersonian Constitutional Republic."

I know that it is fashionable in some circles to hold Jefferson up as some sort of paragon of freedom, but he wasn't. Oh, sure, Jefferson was a great libertarian, democratic thinker, writer, and philosopher, but as President he was a heavy-handed autocrat who ignored the very founding documents that he himself had helped author, at whim. By way of example, I submit the Embargo Act.

Please don't insult our great Republic by linking it with the name of that hypocrite dictator, Jefferson.

Finally, your concluding sentence, that "Palin is the most dangerous person to run for US executive office in US History" is ludicrous on its face. I have met every major, and most minor candidates for President for over 40 years, and I assure you that even if every word you wrote here is true, I have interacted with several candidates whose views are significantly more extreme and dangerous.

Bringing a "baby to earth" is not a flying experience, but rather an act of nature. Just a few thoughts in reply, General.
I have experienced seeing a Down's syndrome baby. My first cousin had a Down's Syndrome baby and it is heart wrenching to say the least.

The child requires constant and personal care. Most people with Down Syndrome who survive into their 40's and 50's begin to suffer from an alzheimer's-like dementia as per some studies.

I had no idea you were on such close terms with the Palin family. That would explain how you came to know on what subjects Gov. Palin tutored her daughter. You are indeed priviledged; my wife wouldn't let me listen to her tutoring our daughter on sex and babies out of wedlock.
I think you are deliberately interpreting the issue in a different manner to what I had intended.

I am not close to the Palin family as is obvious. I don't know as many Republican politicians didn't. Therefore, my not knowing or even hearing of her is not very unusual.

However, to believe that an evangelist is about to have a grandchild out of wedlock would surely indicate that she has not tutored her daughter in the ethical and religious issue concerning children produced out of wedlock.

No offense. But to label religion a hoax on account of the "sins" of its adherents is a little over the top. Or. do I miss your meaning?
Yes, you have missed the meaning. It was my interpretation on religion and it need not be universal. In the same manner as one would claim to be an atheist.

Let us put it this way:

Logical atheism holds that the various conceptions of gods, such as the personal god of Christianity, are ascribed logically inconsistent qualities. Such atheists present deductive arguments against the existence of God, which assert the incompatibility between certain traits, such as perfection, creator-status, immutability, omniscience, omnipresence, omnipotence, omnibenevolence, transcendence, personhood (a personal being), nonphysicality, justice and mercy.

Theodicean atheists believe that the world as they experience it cannot be reconciled with the qualities commonly ascribed to God and gods by theologians. They argue that an omniscient, omnipotent, and omnibenevolent God is not compatible with a world where there is evil and suffering, and where divine love is hidden from many people. A similar argument is attributed to Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism.

We are all prone to sloppiness in using the word "religion." There are religions and there are church orgnizations. Which do you mean in relation to Palin?
The relation is not only to Palin, but to all i.e. those who wear their religion on their sleeve, require to live up to all its tenets and not be selective!

It seems to me that everyone who says they are down on religion was either never up on it, or cut short their spiritual journey. I mean, who can say nothing is at the end of the road who hasn't traveled it?
If one travelled the full spiritual journey i.e. his whole life, then don't you think it would be too late in the day to realise the folly and make amends or seek a new path?

If one has to travel down the road to realise, then would you be of the same opinion and state that the Missionaries are doing it wrong by converting the masses in Asia and Africa since they are not letting people travel the end of the road to realise their spirituality?

"Some have learnt many Tricks of sly Evasion, Instead of Truth they use Equivocation, And eke it out with mental Reservation, Which is to good Men an Abomination."

Do explain how one person can effect this change. The last time I checked, the mechanism for changing the Consitution is quite a large hurder to clear:

The United States Constitution - The U.S. Constitution Online - USConstitution.net

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.
