He's been slipping since he announced Biden as his VP. Do you think it is the Hillary supporters making their decision or those anti-obama books that are #1 sellers that people are reading? Obama shouldn't be sliding during the convention.

In my opinion nothing matters until the Obamster makes his speech. If his poll numbers don't go up after that, let alone if they continue to drop somehow, then I can comfortably agree that his campaign is on a freight train to Loserville.

And there's still the Repub's convention. After then we'll know. I still have my money on a big McCain win, but I think at this point that's mostly gut feeling.

It's just so facination to watch Obama's campaign continues to shoot itself in the foot.

He's trying to be like the average Joe, but he will accept his party's nomination at a football stadium, in front of 75,000 fans, walking through Greek styled columns like he's Zeus incarnate...

Obama's ego rivals that of B J Clinton. And he's not even the president yet!

The media said Bill Clinton would not be attending Obama's acceptance speech at the stadium....hmmmm....imagine that.

Of course...that open air stadium doesn't have enough room for 2 egos of that size.

Must have been hard for ole Bill to heap praise on Obama tonight. He laid it on thicker than Hillary. Got to hand it to him; he can work a crowd. He saved his political life tonight.

Kerry sounded like a wooden indian. Oh, and did you hear Reid on offshore drilling. All the news analysts said it was a bad pitch to make at the convention... He never ceases to amaze me.

I loved Bayh's speech for pure illogic. He lambastes Bush for borrowing money from China and even Mexico to pay for Iraq, and then turns around and says we should have spent the money on education.

I have to catch up on Obiden's speech. A newscaster on public TV called him that and then my wife did it an hour later. I guess that's what you'd call
    an Ofreudian slip. Baaad.

You may thinking in terms of holding office again. I mean having clout in the halls of power, being a go-to person for Democratic party leaders for advice, being tapped as an intermediary, and that sort of thing.

Had he diplayed any further resentment over Obama's nomination, as he did during the primaries, and Obama lost the election, he'd inevitably share the blame for the loss whether he deserved it or not. His standing thereafter in the party would fall dramatically.

Hence, either way he saved his political life tonight.

I used to think Hillary should have broke from the Democratic party and ran as an independent after the way they treated her, and Bill. Stupid me for thinking that. Since she didn't make the nomination list, her next position of power would be Senate Majority Leader, especially since Ted Kennedy is on his way out. Bill ? Well, I think he wanted Hillary to win Prez because he wanted an appt. to Supreme Court Judge.

All that above, is what the Clintons' have to protect if they ever want to reach those goals listed above. Meaning, they have to protect the Democratic party no matter how badly they are treated in return.

This, of course, is just my opinion.

While enjoying my open air commute on the mighty two wheeler this morning, my mind wandering as random thoughts passed by, I was having some waking flashbacks to some time I spent in Honduras in '86. Then the thoughts wandered to some of the colorful and imaginitive plays on "Obama" that Dale has coined and suddenly I thought "This election is like the Obamanistas VS the McContras".......... I know, sorry folks, but I just had to share it.)

    Now beat that one Dale
