My worry is that Michelle will be his VP. If that should happen, one of yall please shoot me.

EDIT: It's just been announced Joe Biden is VP pick. Whew ! I was really sweating that one. Hillary's voters are really pee-oed now !

Assassination is the murder of a high ranking person for political reasons. She's talking about a black man getting killed in a gas station. Obama isn't going to be pumping gas anytime soon.

That he does, but he's a good pick if the key is foreign relations. But I am not so sure that will really matter when we get down to the short strokes.

And in electoral votes Deleware ranks right up there with N.Dak and DC.

It's going to be interesting to see how a 65 year old Senator serving since age 26 will act knowing he's just a yes-man for a Senator barely through half a term.

I think Biden is a bad pick. It's considered a safe pick because of Biden's so-called foreign policy experience, but I don't really think it helps Obama. DE is already an Obama state, and Biden has no executive experience. Bayh, Kaine, or Clinton would have been better picks.

Kaine would be eaten alive. He's getting nowhere in solving Virginia's fiscal dilemma. Bayh makes sense being from the Mid-west. He speaks well on his feet. Clinton That would be a handful for Obama--what with Bill out there saying God knows what.

Biden offers maturity, a counter to McCain's straight talk, foreign policy expertise, but not much else. Maybe that was what made him attractive to Obama. But he has a snide manner that could put people off.

    Let the vetting begin.

In the post-Cheney world Obama has to be careful in deferring too much to his V.P. on foreign policy issues. Biden also has a mouth on him-remember his insulting comment about Indians at 7-11, and his Finally there is a clean-cut, nice looking black guy in Obama comment. Also it runs counter to Obama's change platform, Biden is the fifth longest serving Senator in the Senate. Only Byrd, Kennedy, and Inouye on the Democratic side have served longer, and Stevens on the Republican side.

I think Obama picking Biden confirms his weakness in foreign policy...not that he would admit it. Biden's an okay pick, but he didn't show much during the primaries resulting in him dropping out early in the primaries. If Biden wasn't that popular among voters, I don't think he will give Obama much of a boost. Obama picked experience over change.

Well here we are in the middle of the convention and the O-bomber is still slipping in the polls. Where's the bump? It must be that anchor called Biden. Hmmm?
