    The Clinton Legacy

BILL'S REAL LEGACY IS SEX: POLL

    By DEBORAH ORIN

November 24, 2004 -- WASHINGTON — Most Americans say Bill Clinton will be remembered for his sex and lies with Monica Lewinsky — even though he all but erased her from his presidential library — a new poll has found.
When asked what they would remember Clinton for, 53 percent cited the Lewinsky sex scandal, according to the Polling Company's survey.

Only 11 percent say he'll be remembered as a good president.

"He cannot dislodge from Americans' minds how they remember his presidency," said GOP pollster Kellyanne Conway, whose firm did the survey.

Clinton's presidential library, which opened last week in Little Rock, Ark., devotes scant attention to Monicagate.

Clinton spokesman Jim Kennedy rejected the poll's findings.

"History will record that, under his watch, more people were working, crime went down, welfare went down, deficits were replaced by surpluses, bin Laden was ignored, terrorism was ignored, and oral sex was a regular occurrence in the Oval Office. Nonpartisan surveys rate him and his work as president very highly."

I read Clinton's the only president since Nixon to see his ratings fall after leaving office.

I don't think so. She has a 47% unfavorability rating.

Ill agree to that. IMO 2008 will be Hillary Clinton vs current New York State Governor George Pataki or former NYC Mayor Rudy Guiliani, either of them are possible Republican nominees. If the Democrats want to even have a chance they should stop being so radical, in other words not nominate Hillary Clinton.
