No one is taking choices away from these people. They have as many choices as the rest of us.
Look at it from a selfish standpoint - would you rather pay a few hundred extra dollars a year for a decade or so to get more kids a better education so you don't have pay thousands a year for decades because a person wasn't in an optimal learning environment?

I'd rather not have to pay to raise other peoples kids at all.

I just think that there are a lot of loopholes in this thing is all.

I agree in principle with the voucher/charter initiatives - I'd vote on the specifics, though.

Why shouldn't everyone get one if they want to send their young'uns to a private school? It's their government alotment for education.

Be a step in the right direction though. Personally I went to a public school in the middle of a wealthy neighborhood, and there were drugs galore... Pot, coke, pills of all types, 'shrooms, acid, hash, opium, and more I never noticed I'm sure. Maybe we just didn't get caught as much statistically...

It's always there, it's just not there for long. Kicked out of a private school is generally forever...

The entire government education system is a welfare program! LOL

Interesting. Way I understand the system, you enroll your kid in private school, fill out the paperwork, government gives the parents' alotment to the private school, and parents pay the rest. Only loophole I see is the one where those of us without kids still have to pay for education.
