a simple question, one that defines the difference between the soviet union and the west, is: if the soviet union was so great, why did they have to build a wall round it to keep the people in?
or are we to be told that the fortifications on the inner german border were to keep out hoardes of rich west germans, brits and yanks, who bored with their lives of political freedom, decent living standards, cars that worked and didn't require an environmental impact assessment for each gallon on fuel they used, washing machines and the ability to travel to whatever countries they liked - and the cash to do so, decided to live a grey life with the chance of having their bottoms felt by some proffesional pervert in a re-badged SS uniform everytime they mentioned how shite the local government was?
