That having been said, this guy has a lot of balls critiqueing weapons systems that twice in 10 years blew through an army almost solely equipped with Eastern Bloc weaponry, faster than any army in history.
Also because of the Soviet experience in Afghanistan from 80-88.
This guy's country is also the same one that put the gas tanks inside the doors of an APC (the BTR wasn't it?)

We used to have the fuel tanks for the M113 (I believe the A2 variant and before) inside the vehicle and used gasoline in our MBT in WWII, so we've had our share of not so brillant design features as well. Of course, the Soviets weren't too smart and kept on using gasoline in their BTR designs.
