Jihadi organizations are on the run in Pakistan, the Gun culture, isn't as prevalent, so I'm guessing we're cleaning up the mess just fine. The problem in Pakistan was huge, not a small one. It would take sometime, what we need to do is cut off their supplies. Peace with India, would go a long way in curbing their support.
India can help, especially in intelligence. And vice versa.
