I'm sure it's very much in play. That was made clear last December and, again, in early February. The U.S. Army is not going to stand in the way of Turkish combat operations against PKK bases inside Iraq- within reason.
The issue is, of course, tempestuous, but the Iraqi Gov't, the Kurdish Regional Government and the U.S. government are all on board with this consideration on a limited basis. "limited" meaning both geographically and duration. To date, both Turkish ops were confined to discrete, largely uninhabited areas of known PKK sanctuary and limited to about 10 days-two weeks in length.
My guess is that there are well-defined protocols established at this point, largely as a function of the liaison cells established last winter. Ucar would know more clearly but I'd bet these incursions are nearly "scheduled" to some extent at this point.
