Hows about a .45 Desert Eagle.
If not we go to .50 Desert Eagle.
PS better be wearing nomex for the .50 because it does blow fire and it spits shells out hard enough to irritate the jerk beside you at the range that likes waving snub guns around without looking who might be standing in their sights.
IMO a .40 cal is plenty for both plinking and home defense.
