Well, I have never had the chance to shoot at an engine block. It is a little bit of urban legend I decided to use. I was merely trying to illustrate that the .357Mag is a very powerful pistol cartridge.
As to your definitions of home defense, I agree, the two different situations dictate you need two different weapons. LOL but not all of us live in southern California.
