Here are my thoughts on this subject. Even though it is presented as a team spirit building ability, and practice, Trust Shot is a display of machoism; of manliness. It is highly likely to lead to training casualties which will result in the loss of extremely well trained personnel wasting valuable resources, and time invested in training aside from personal grievences.
Aside from special forces personnel, in such a culture as Turkish, where manliness and patriotism is encouraged to extreme degrees, Trust Shot practice is taken over by regular recruits as well. This can be observed in some commando units, building on the "commandos are superhuman" ethos in the society, where regular recruits start to establish their own Trust Shot routine. Naturally, this allows us to view the damage a G-3 can deliver to a human torso/head from 10 m. range.
