Because his own public statements as a Senator do not jibe with Wright's.
Because he has inside access to government operations. Wright does not.
Because he is not Wright (no pun intended).
Because his upbringing better enables him to judge the errors in black stereotyping of whites.
Because it is unfair to hold him accountable for what other people say.
Because many white politicians who know him, trust him.
