If the Sun continues its current inactive trend, I would assume that the overall climate will cool as well. When glaciers are eating ski lodges again in the 2020s or so the same old panicmongerers will then begin wailing about how humans are somehow responsible for that too. There will be no apologies, heck, there won't even be any
acknowledgement of the utter mendacity of their previous positions.
The only thing to hope for is that they don't waste too much money on the way.
