Sadly, it seems the issue has become too politicized for new data to be easily accepted. It's already been shown that models, built upon the hypothesis of co2 forcing, are not consistent with actual observation (
Douglass, et al 2007,
Spencer, et al 2007,
Monaghan, et al 2008).
If this is not something that is taken into account, then I hardly think an alternate theory, whether backed by evidence or not, will be given due consideration.
