Nebula82: The Russian land forces in the Far Eastern and Siberian commands aren't enough to take on China, let alone launch a surprise attack of any sort (after all, having to ship in forces from other areas via railway isn't really a way to effectively fight a total war or launch a surprise attack). Then the Russians will have to fight at the end of their supply line, like they did in the Russo Japanese war.
You can't win a ground war just by air power alone. And China has plenty of artillery and rockets too. The tanks in the Beijing and Shenyang MRs can probably match whatever the Russians throw at them.
