I take it this is directed at a reply of mine. As I remember it you called villagers ignorant and bigoted or narrow minded or something along the same lines(Something about women in jeans if I recall correctly. I told you that you were generalizing based on your experiences. Two things then stand out in your above analysis:

1. I haven't been out of the country for that long. It's been a mere 3-4 years.

2. You were pointing out something negative about villagers and I pointed out that this was not true. Unless India has been retrogressing in the the period of time that I have been out of the country your analysis is flawed.

3. You've just pointed out that your experience is limited to Punjab. While lacking your depth of knowledge of any single area, I've been around the country enough to know that India is extremely divergent in thought and opinion. To generalize an opinion about all of rural India based on your experience in your village doesn't sounds like the best of ideas.
