MMMM wealth was land in those times. What's it in our times and is there any lessons to be learned here about hedge funds and other tax shelters or is tax avoidance not an issue today. I wonder if the landed Aristocracy argued they needed those tax breaks to buy slaves and seeds to work the land to feed the masses?
