Stonewall had a cousin,
William Lowther Jackson who fought for Virginia who is sometimes known as
"Mudwall" Jackson though supposedly that appellation really belonged to
Alfred E. Jackson of Tennessee who earned it through ineptitude during the battle at Lookout Mountain. There was also
John K. Jackson and
William K. Jackson of Tennessee as well. One of these guys eventually was promoted to "Brickwall" Jackson.
There are a whole lot of Jacksons out there. There may be another one you are thinking of, but these are the ones I came up with.
