I cant believe that the Miami-Dade PD and the LAPD only just allowed their patrol officers to carry AR-15 rifles in their vehicles! In my area they have been doing it for quite some time now.
Even then, I am not so sure this would have been helpful as I believe that most LEOs killed/wounded are killed/wounded before they have a chance to draw their pistol much less run to the trunk and unlock and then load the rifle.
