He stood before the cameras and gave credit to all the work the conferees did on the bill that HE AND..." had proposed. Blatently misleading; he hadn't even been to the meeting. Some time later there was another meeting on the bill and he showed up late and started asking "good" questions, as one senator put it, but ones that had already been covered earlier. He was asked to can it...
Hillary has pulled similar stunts...claiming credit for the child heath care law and just recently claiming she had to dodge sniper fire on her visit to Bosnia back when she was first lady...
