The Harper family was making use of the pool when one of their two children encountered some difficulty and cried for help. The lifeguard ignored the cries. The child again cried for help again and once more the lifeguard seems uninterested, so Stephen himself, now enraged, had to plunge fully dressed into the pool to rescue the boy.

Afterwards, Harper grilled the lifeguard. "You ass! Didn't you see that my son was in trouble?"

"Yes sir", he said.

"Well why in the name of God didn't you jump in and go help him"?, Harper roared.

"BBBecause I can't swim", stuttered the lifeguard.

"How the hell did you land the job of lifeguard, if you can't swim ?"

''I'm bilingual."he replied.
