You are a bit confused, Both Indian and Pakistani army follow Western (British) traditions but have fused it along with their own cultures. Pakistani army under Zia-ul haq changed into some Islamic nutjob one. The history textbooks taught to school kids would make you hang around your head with shame by the sheer atrocities committed to history by those very books.
Pakistani minority population declined from 14.2% of population to under 3% today. A person of non-islamic beliefs cannot hold positions of power in Pakistan, President of Pakistan can never be Hindu, Christain or Sikh. So any idea of relating pakistani parties to the word secular is an insult to countries like the US, India etc who have strong secular fabric and it means more than just a word!!!!
