Did anybody but ME note the fact that he didn't give me ANYthing in that speech? And I'm glad, I really am.

If he'd showed up there and nakedly tried to 'buy' me off by telling me what he thought I needed to hear to get my vote...he'd have lost me as surely as if his last name was Pelosi. He stood by whatever his principles seem to be - something along the lines of 'I'll know the RighT Thang To Do when I make it up as I go along' - and for THAT, I'll give him some - SOME - credit.

But I also note that he's not interested in making me happy. So, it's still daggers drawn, mate. En garde, you old bastard.

Except on the WAR, and that's my make-or-break issue. He's not going to accept defeat, and for that reason and no other - and only so long as that's true - I'm on-board. First sign of President McCain going wobbly, and I'll lead the rabble into the Oval Office for his scalp MYSELF.
