I like McCains stance and record on fighting pork. If we start there we can save billions and billions. Then we can decide what we want to cut afterwards.
As for the Military, no cuts needed there whatsoever other than restructuring the way we go about contracts like they did back in the 80's which cut cost overruns, pork, and unecessary expenditures substantially. Also, competition needs to be brought back, which will further reduce costs.
One cut, though it is not implemented is the Carbon cap/credit/tax BS.
How can one cut spending without assesing, evaluating, investigating to ensure the money that is being spent is not being abused like it is in many instances? We should start there prior to any "cuts". Then after that is said and done, start cutting.
