We have had very few sporting riots and those that we have had have been at soccer games and involved ethnic rivalries between those of recent European migrants.
This year there was also a bit of a fracar at the Australian Open tennis, but again involved people that were European migrants and visitors.
Don't get me wrong though as there are many good people from Europe here but a few nutters who have brought with them their ancient ethnic rivalries cause most of the trouble.
If you are referring to the riots at the beach in Sydney, that situation had been developing for quite a long time.
Muslim youths had consistantly come to the beach to abuse women in particular because they were not wearing the head to toe covering of the muslim woman. These creeps commonly refered to women in bathers as "Skippy sluts".
It all came to a head when a mob of these creeps assaulted a surf life saver.
The resultant fracar was fuelled by plenty of booze and a hot day that brought lots of people to the beach.
John Howard's government is now gone and the new Labour govt is lead by a former diplomat who may take PCness to a whole new level.
