Probably not, but the residents of Berkeley are not uniformly nuts. There may be a few young people there that recognize that they live in a moral sewer, and that wish to improve their lives. They should not be impeded in doing that by an out-of-control political regime. Just think: it would be an act of rebellion for that young person to join the Marines!
I know you were just kidding, but I think about the 'disenfranchised' and marginalized people that are doomed to live under idiotic, self-regarding crazies like this. There are several people that must live under just as bat-**** loony 'leadership' in Vermont, and it must be terrible to be from a place like that, where the majority foist upon themselves and rational people alike the madness that extreme left-wing political thought will drive policy to an extreme and untenable riot of beyond-the-looking-glass kind of life.
Public parks become havens for homesexual contact and open drug-dealing, with the homeless and insane free to defecate on the green spaces that normal people fear to tread. Aggressive panhhandling and street people shreik at anybody that looks like they may have a few bucks that choose not to contribute to the social breakdown by subsidizing the decay that threatens their well-being as they attempt to go about their lives. Schoolchildren are taught not the glory of their heritage, but just the 'warts' part of the picture, and where the military is seen not as your protector and guarantor of your rights, but as an oppressive force of evil that bullies brown people.
Well, I hope the people that disrespect the military will one day see why their worldview is so utterly screwed up, but I don't hold out much hope of that. They're as convinced of their own righteousness as any fanatic that holds themselves to be in possession of the truth, and they're not likely to ever admit any error.
