For other items I go to OSH. What I need to look at or compare (such as wood stains) everything is at eyeball level and the store is well lighted. At HD the lighting is poor and the wood stain chips are way over my head. That is if I can get past forklifts moving stock around and there aren't any other racks displaying stuff I don't want in the aisles blocking my way.

Edit: For paint I go to Dunn-Edwards. It's a true one coat paint. Home Depot paint takes at least two coats, sometimes three.
