Being (seemingly) the only Non Commisioned contributant, and not present to witness this engagement ... I wonder that the allies triumphed at all!?
From all accounts I've read, Rommel may have well been unstopable. (were he apropriately supplied) I understand, our (american) Tanks were gasoline powered (not good) had undersized guns (dito) I've never been told how those Matilda's faired, other than the out come, which (if we will quit bickering long enough) I'm sure we would all agree upon.
My understanding of the Russians is that, in spite of the undermining, and indeed atritiative effects of thier leadership, they mannaged (through thier suffering?) to hold out long enough to make a dam lot of T-34's ... and that seems to have exhausted the riechts supply efforts ...
I tend to agree ... It's never been about being the class of the class. It's about winning. If you do that in the factories ... so be that as it may.
A jolly well strong factor in why we correspond in english today ... don't you agree?
