Supplied and trained? Perhaps we funded and trained them some in mountain warfare tactics and basic infantry skills in general to help them defend themselves from the Russians... but last time I checked, none of the training we gave them consisted of building improvised explosive devices, improvised rocket launchers, hijacking commercial aircraft, or crashing airliners.
