The M16A4 and M4 are replacing the M16A2. My old unit, a Reserve LAR company received both, the M16A4 for the scouts and the M4 for the crewmen. I believe the A4 also has a heavier barrel than the A2.
Replacement weapons for the M9 have not been received as far as I know.
The USMC fire resistant organization gear (
FROG!), looks a lot like the desert MARPAT when geared up, but the blouse's torso is uniformly tan and without pockets.
