For a police investigator, when a wife is murdered the husband becomes the prime suspect (oh, we have a corrupt and debauched husband scared sh!tless of being offered up as a sacrificial lamb to ease her re-entry into Pakistani politics); when a politician is murdered the opposition becomes the prime suspect (Sindh had been basically promised to the Mohajirs' party under Gen Musharraf, now it is unclear); when a feudal chieftain is murdered the vassals become suspect (Sindh is very much a feudal povince outside the cities); when a national leader is murdered the enemies of the nation become suspect (Pakistan has no lacking of enemies); when a democrat is murdered the autocrats become the suspects (a military junta rules Pakistan). Benazir Bhutto was all of these, so take your pick.
