I think the last paragraph says it all.

I had quite a lot of stoppages with the M-16s as well. Most of the time, the round refuses to chamber or gets half fed. The best part was, it happens without all the "Dust & Sand."

I wouldn't I was confident of my M-16, cos I was always wondering if the next shot was gonna just got "Click."

If the M-16s were that "reliable", the M-4 article makes a lot of sense to me.
