Considering the problems caused by the props on the V-22 AEW, I wonder if part of the problem could be solved AESA radar? Being able to transmit the signal between the propeller blades, etc.

I don't know much about radar range (they aren't published) but the Sea King can only track about 20% of the targets the Hawkeye can.
