If you actually bother to follow the link you will find the research as well as data that support the title, have you done that? If so, and if you have not been banished permanently, pick up the issue on the thread it refers to. I will be happy to discuss it with you there.
By the way the Moslem engineers and doctors who resort to Islamist terror aren't being alienated from mainstream civilization, they are doing it to themselves by their choices. If anything, identifying and educating the young, helpless and vulnerable students about making the right choices should be the priority - not burying it under feel-good objections. It is not a unique issue for Islamists either: an IEEE Spectrum article a few years back talked about engineers being prominent in other totalitarian organizations under certain circumstances as well.
