I suspect that the Super Hornet and Raptor crews have been doing some training together after all the Raptors at Langley were moved to NAS Oceana.

It all depends on the tactical situation. Remember, stealth is never 100%. The serbs shot down a 117 while it was raining about 10 years ago.....if the serbs could do it, chances are our allies (Germany, France, Britain) can anyway. The Raptor and the Typhoon were made for different missions, and therefore where one exceeds, the other one lags, and vice versa. The F22 is also much more expensive (initial purchase, and maintenance) than the Typhoon. And the Typhoon is also made to have an active life of 45 years.
In short, since only our allies have the Typhoon, and we have the Raptor, they will be used to back each other up in combat......and I would love to see any other air force on this planet match a team like that........that will never happen!
