Don't worry, you've got time. When you find a girlfriend and believe me it will happen, you won't think about much else.
You're not the first 16 year old nor the first Israeli poster who then went off to war. You're plenty old enough to consider the seriousness of life and there's nothing wrong with serving your country whether it's mandatory or not. The SADF and IDF had close ties so I've been to Israel several times and liked the people and the country. In fact there was a young lady in Jaffa that made me consider staying...
