No! Do not ignore a counter-point. That is the worst thing you can do on this board. However,

1) Can you rationalize that counter-point to your original beliefs?
2) Are you wrong on just this one point or your entire belief?
3) You may be wrong but is our argument right or are we both wrong ... or are we both right?

This board is made of combat veterans from across the world. We do not agree with each other and we do not understand each other that well but we do respect each other and we do challenge each other.

You've gotten a taste of that from the USAF Master-Sergeant Bluesman, a 20 year+ vet. On this board, you have a host of other military professionals who will tell you that your arguments is worth squat and they will tell you why, including me.

Your job is to think things through.
