4x4 and 6x6 post seem more apt to twist than the old stuff. And maybe its the distributors down here, but I've noticed that the AQC doesn't seem to penetrate as deep as CCA. One of the reasons the 6 bys are twisting and warping so easy.
Because of the salt air I flash with either stainless or Galv. Any columns that we would hide with break metal (coil trim) now get wrapped with vinyl.

Is that the stuff that's popular in garages these days? There are 3 grades and I believe the best is a bit spongy...a very little bit.

Not the rolled on stuff. This was poured, about 1/8", self leveling, and ready for use in 24hr. Had the same feel as hospital grade linoleum. Nice to walk on, good shine, low maint.
