That said. I am not surprised that Egyptians would have this attitude towards Iran. Arabs Nations can manage little solidarity or cordiality even amongst themselves.
Let's face it; Egyptians probably consider themselves Egyptian even before considering themselves Arabs, and then there are the divisions along sectarian lines which keep people apart. Even if Iran were currently governed by the Dalai Lama and Richard Geer rather than the current public enemy number 1 -I doubt there would be any great outpouring of love in Egypt for the Persians. Look how you treat your own Coptic community.

Egypt is no great bastion of Democracy itself -so what's your point?

As for fighting Iran? You should worry about fighting your own ruthless, domestic dictatorship before branching out to save the world.
