I'm going with Ron Paul all the way. He seems to be the only one in all of the candidates (if not only there, but also in all of Congress) that really wants to truly uphold the U.S. Constitution. I know, many will not like him because of his foreign policy, but I'm sold on it. He did vote to go after the terrorists in Afghanistan, so that's good enough for me. He's just not into invading countries preemptively, which I like, because you cannot really trust the government (any government) on their word, since the past has shown that governments HAVE lied to get into wars simply for their own interests. Thus, I'd rather not trust my government enough to preemptively strike another nation, no matter how bad they say the leader is.

With that said, Ron Paul is the only candidate I know of that strictly wants to stick to the Constitution, as our founding fathers stuck to the Constitution. He's pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment, pro-LIMITED government (he goes out of his way to express this, which is good for a politician to do); Ron Paul is for homeschooling by the parents, getting rid of the Federal Reserve (if you do not know why this'd be good, then go watch Money Masters; type Money Masters in Google Video search), get rid of the IRS, get rid of the income tax (which started only because of the debt the government paid to the privately owned Federal Reserve putting high interest on each dollar borrowed. Did you know the Federal Reserve bankers LOVE when our government goes to war? Yep, that's because they know this is when the government borrows, with interest, mass amounts of dollars, and thus puts the government so much in debt to the Federal Reserve!), etc. etc. etc.

I mean, this guy seems to be the only one talking about things like this that'd truly turn this country around, for the good.

We'd be back to backing our dollar with gold or silver. Did you know our dollar is worth but 4 cents compared to what it was worth in 1913 (when the Federal Reserve Act was past... coincidence?)??? That's what happens to the worth of our dollar when the Federal Reserve prints out money at a high rate without gold or silver backing eac dollar.

I always loved reading quotes by our founding fathers, but it was not until I heard ron Paul speak, that he inspired me to read up much more on what they said. It's ASTOUNDING what they said! They even warned against having private banks ruling over the money. If only our government payed attention to the founding fathers' words.

Many talk about democracy, but did you know this is anti-American at the core? Oh, sounds odd, huh? Let's ask what Benjamin Franklin has to say about democracy:

Quote:
Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.
Not many speak like this today, right? That's because many have become ignorant of the spirit of liberty our founding fathers truly had.

As you can see, democracy lets the majority rule over the minority. Liberty gives minority a chance to live! We're a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy! Don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise.

Here's another good quote by Thomas Jefferson, about government and people:

Quote:
Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves, therefore, are its only safe depositories. And to render even them safe, their minds must be improved to a certain degree.
EVERY government degenerates when trusted to the politicians! And many in this country blindly trust our government. They vote them in, and think that's all they have to do. How wrong they are.

Let's study up on what our founding fathers said!

Thanks to Ron Paul, because he has that same spirit of the founding fathers! A spirit of true liberty from the government attempting to rule over the people unjustly.

He rightly brings up how if the government didn't get in the way, 9/11 and other big school shootings would be stopped! If the airline companies and schools were given the freedom to arm their own employees, then these things could've been stopped, or at least lessoned.
