According to NPT, Iran has the right to peaceful nuclear energy. There's no evidence that Iran has the bomb or is building one. The United States is demanding that Iran give up their right to peaceful nuclear energy, but it's a legal right Iran actually has.
And yes, China does have the right to say something, if the United States is going to attack Iran. Because China has interests in Iran, and perhaps the idea of the UNited states having a puppet government in another oil rich state, isn't in the Chinese's best interests.
