I have a couple of links for you gentlemen to peruse Image:Bf109E 3Seiten neu.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
FW 190 A-8 'Green 5 + ' of the Stab J.G. 1
These links show that both planes had versions with round and squared off wingtips......how do we know what this plane is??

The caption does specify that it is an E version Bf-109 which did have squared off wings.
