I don't question his honour. I think he was incredibly naive to look at - or ignore - Hitler's past actions and figure "well this ought to satisfy him".

You can only roll over so many times.

I came to the conclusion at a very early age that regardless of the consequences, I would only bend just so far.

I realize that Chamberlain had millions of lives at stake not just his own, but surely he saw what kind of men that the leaders of National Socialism were?
