Tarek,
Is it not true that most of the terror attacks in the last decade or so have been carried out terror groups who are predominantly sunni terror groups with ideological linkage to Saudi/Pakistan (and may be Egypt).
Most of the hijackers of 9/11 were Saudies, since 9/11 all the terrorists have have been caught in Pakistan or if caught else where had links to Pakistan.
I understand that Iran supports Hebullah, and Hejbullah has some terror attacks in their name during the 80's. During the 90's they have fought a border war with Israel on the Israel-Lebenon border which ended when Israelies withdrew from Lebenon.
Other than that, I don't see Iran hands in international terrorism.
According to 9/11 commission report, both Pakistan and Saudi were upto their neck into it.
Can you name some of the terrorism sponsered by Iran and carried by Iran supported terrorist groups?
