[quote=ozjohn39;404152]glyn,
Penzance eh? My family history research has my line (ROWE) thick on the ground near Falmouth, the little village of Mylor Bridge actually.
Rowe is a good Cornish name, and Mylor Bridge is a most delightful spot. Unfortunately few Cornish people live there these days as the house prices have risen so high that a fairly modest dwelling costs around half a million £. This means city people buy them for holiday homes to use for a couple of weeks each year and then rent them out as holiday lets. It's an unfortunate paradox that we have the highest house prices in the UK but the lowest wages. Do you plan to get over to see where the ancestors came from?
